The Friends of Cheam Common Infants’ Academy is a fund raising committee run by parents of children in the school. To date funds have enabled the school to provide extra, valuable resources for the children to use including ICT equipment, ipads for all children to use, new interactive whiteboards for the early years classrooms, playground equipment, new reading books and new phonics resources.
We organise many fund raising events throughout the school year. Over the past year these have included a Family photo day, Christmas Fair, Cake Sales, the Smarties challenge and Summer events, a joint venture with the Junior School. We also sell very reasonably priced second hand school uniform half termly.
The success of the Friends depends entirely on the support of all parents and staff. Thank you to those who have already contributed. To those who might be considering it we would greatly appreciate any assistance. This can be anything from being a committee member, taking a lead role in organising fund-raising events, or even just giving a little of your time to helping out.
Class reps are nominated each year. The reps are a great conduit of information, so make sure your rep. has your email address. Any communications will be circulated in this way. Regular emails are sent out via Parentmail.
