Children at Cheam Common Infants’ not only have the opportunity to develop their own artistic skills, but they learn about the work of famous artists. They investigate shape, line, texture, tone and colour through a range of materials in both 2D and 3D form.  Work ranges from, sketching with art pencils, learning to shade and blend using a variety of media such as pastels, paints, charcoal, different ways of printing and creating their own prints. Children will produce 3d sculptures using clay, natural objects and paper mache working on individual and group collaborative masterpieces.

In the summer term we hold our annual Arts Week and invite parents in to school to see the wonderful displays and artwork produced by the children.
