Home Learning - Cheam Common Infants' Academy

Home Learning

We recognise that a child’s home is a powerful learning environment and that parental engagement raises standards of attainment. Through involvement in their child’s learning, parents will be more able to support, broaden and deepen their child’s knowledge and understanding. Home learning enables children to consolidate, apply and extend the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom. It develops the skills of independent learning and fosters interest and excitement which will motivate children to become lifelong learners.  If you have any further questions about how you can support your child’s learning at home, please ask their class teacher.

In the Early Years and Year 1, children have individual logins to an online platform called ‘See Saw’. See Saw is used during class time as well as from home. It is an online portfolio of children’s work and activities to complete.

In Year 2, children have individual logins to an online platform called ‘Google classroom’. Google class is used during class time as well as from home. Children complete tasks set and teachers can give specific feedback.
